Warm Springs Church is a family church that looks much like its community. We are a broad
mixture of ages and ethnicities; we have an active Singles group as well as great activities for
families and kids of all ages. There are a couple of unique customs we have as a church.
When we pray together, we hold hands and at the conclusion of our praying, we squeeze each
others hand three times. The three squeezes mean, "I love you!" We also keep a record of the
times each of us has received a "yes" answer from God when we have prayed.
We track this by placing a colored stone in a large clear vase at the front of the sanctuary.
We began this tradition in 2001 and we have over 4,000 stones in the jar. We also sponsor a
mission in our facilities that is for Mandarin speaking Chinese. This congregation meets in our
Education Building and has worship services at 9:50am.
We are a part of the Southern Baptist Convention. Southern Baptists are Protestant and believe
that salvation is a free gift of God, given to us when by faith we put our trust in Jesus Christ as
our sole means of salvation. We believe Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Father are all
God--the Trinity--One God in Three Persons.
We believe the Bible is the inherent, infallible Word of God. We believe Jesus Christ will one day
return and judge the living and the dead and those who have received by grace the salvation
offered them in Jesus Christ will spend eternity with God in heaven, those who have not will be
condemned to eternity in Hell.
